Phoned up Horizon to book the car in for a load of work (A service, MoT, new rear Advans, braided brake & clutch hoses, fit CRP etc)... and asked if I could kick around and use a laptop to get some work done as I'm self employed and would lose a load of money for taking a day off... they're happy to do this, so I'm working there next Wednesday whilst they fettle the Elise Nice one, Simon.

Thank god this didn't happen to my Elise - But went up to Sheffield this weekend in the Merc .. came out on Sunday morning to see footprints and dents over my bonnet, roof and back window ... why why why??? I could sorta understand if they smashed the window and nicked the radio or something, but plain vandalism just annoys me Anyone got a hockey stick and fancies helping me rid sheffield of this scum?

I am going to have to start doing this. This guy is selling a genuine lotus plastic nose badge. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...2490223836&rd=1 I am sure that the last one i bought from the dealer was about £9.00 rather than the enamel one at a ridiculous £32 or thereabouts.

Hi Bob! Glad you care! Still on here but work has been pretty busy latley and I don't have internet at home at the moment, so don't always have time to write much stuff I fitted the S2 susp last Sun. Was impressed with Steve Butts service, ordered the bits on the Thurs and they were there by the Tues. He also emailed me fitting instructions and advice about setting up etc. The shocks were dead easy to fit. Just two bolts to undo on each one. Although you have to fit steve's new brackets, which are very well made from stainless steel, at the front in place of the old ones. I was surprised how easily most the bolts came undone! I presume Lotus mu…

0-60 around 5 secs 0-100 under 10 secs 40-100 in 3rd gear 6.9 secs 160mph £7500 for a 250bhp Audi conversion....Clicky I mean, over winter you could get a base Elise with high miles for under £10k. Stick the Audi in it, and you've got a seriously, stupidly quick Elise for gay-base-S2 money. Ok, you might to put a grand or so aside for Nitrons and a decent brake upgrade to make it really count....but still, it seems unbelievably good value. The Honda lump probably suits the Elise better, but for a £2.5k saving and more power... Hm...wonder what the insurance would be like

Trick engine - only £2.5K If I'd seen this, I might not have had to have changed the whole car! Seems as though it's the bits you've not got. Go well with your exhaust bits. Graeme

Someone may be driving better soon I've warned Paul what to expect on Monday(and showed him your car) He going to sort his back out so that he can get in and out. Be gentle with him we need him at work the next day. Second thoughts show him what it can do just for the hell of it Best of luck MH

I've spent all morning with a multimeter and a screwdriver chasing wiring all round the car trying to get the passenger side courtesy light to work........................................ now call me stupid if you like but am i right in saying that the contact is for the alarm and nothing to do with the interior light, and that the series 1 passenger shouldnt work the light anyway !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
