As some of you know, I had an accident a month or so back which the insurance approved, so the car should be ready in a few weeks. Turns out my policy is up for renewal in May too. Since the car is on limited mileage with Adrian Flux (Underwritted by Link Insurance) it only cost me +-£500 last year. When i took out the policy I asked about my previous 5 years ncb with Direct line, and Adrian Flux said they didn't use that cos I was on this limited insurance thing. Fair enough. I spoke to Adrian Flux today because I received a letter saying my policy was almost up, and it turns out Link will not insure me now because I had an accident within the first year of th…

Anyone know who's the cheapest for lotus parts? My RH front indicator decided to eject itself from the front clam while i was doing mach 2, and so i'm now in the market for a new indicator. Someone told me that the RH one is more than the LH, any rational reason for this? Cheers, Keith.

Hi - I am trying to organise insurance for my new Elise and Churchill have come out best. Unfortunately their web site is requiring me to select which immobilizer I have from a drop down but the one that is fitted (Cobra 6422, Thatcham 1) is not listed. Churchill say that if I don't have one of these fitted then I can't be insured (apparently immobs go out of date and are no longer Thatcham 1/2 approved) Please help..... The alternative would be to go with Adrian Flux who is competitive - is this company/broker reliable??????? HELP!!!!!

I was walking through Derby city centre on the way to the Assembly rooms when i spotted a silver S1 parked on the pavement. As i drew near i leant forward for a closer look and noticed it was in quite poor condition clam wise and soft top. i remarked to my missus same and added it looks a bit unloved. Just then some drunken twa* falls out the Pub spots me looking at the car. knowing only too well the golden rule ,never make eye contact or engage in conversation with these morons, we began to walk off. He followed us down the road obviously deciding to be helpfull! "that was a fu**ing Elise that was , their cra* cars they are" Thanks say i walking a little faster the penn…

My g/f totalled her bronze/copper V reg Corsa at the weekend on a country road. Unbelievably, she came out with no harm at all, not even whiplash(thank god!), and the white van driver whose van ended up in a ditch was just as fortunate. The insurance have come back and said its a write off, so shes in the market for something in the region of 3-4k. Im not that knowledgable on alternatives to Lotus/ Honda so I thought I might get some opinions. Her requirements are generally about size and comfort (small-medium, reliable, cheap to fix and insure and has a stereo) And she says it has to be something not ugly(!) I reckon ABS, Power steering should be necessary to…

Hello everybody! This is Krista...Rob's woman from Canada. He sent me a link to this site. How fun! Anyways, I just felt the need to let you know that while you were all zooming about in your cars on your run this weekend, we received three lovely days of SNOW!!!! How incredibly NOT cool! Okay, hope to see some of you when I'm over in June. Just remember that if you ever come to Canada and decide to tour around London Ontario, I would be thrilled to be your tour guide! See you later Krista
