Sootysteve requested some pics of the Eliseparts exhaust fitted to a car. As they may be of interest to anyone else thinking of buying one I thought I'd post the pics on a thread.

I was driving in to work this morning with the top off, making the most of the good weather, when I got stuck behind a guy in a mpv. He must have had some very stubborn dirt on his windscreen as while I was driving behind him he had his windscreen washers on constantly for what must have been a good mile or so. I’d guess he mustn’t have seen me as surely people wouldn’t purposely try and spray someone just because they’re driving a convertible would they ! (actually he didn’t as none of it went in the car, much to his annoyance). I suppose it serves me right for laughing at Tom Cruise yesterday when I heard him whinging on the radio about being squirted with a water…

Well it was more of a success than the F1 in the USA at least! Spent the day there with SEATcupra.net and had a great time. A good day for SEAT Sport UK too as Jason Plato managed a much needed 1st and a 3rd! Our club had special in-field parking which was nice - I think our club turnout was matched only by the Porsche owners club who were there to see the Porsche Carrera Cup - one of them turned up in a Carrera GT Obviously plenty of nice cars to see driving around, one or two Lotus, a couple of Nobles, lots of Porsches and a few TVR's. We had a chat with the SEAT Sport UK people in the pit lane and got admitted to the front of the queue so to speak for sign…

Met up with Tim, a SELOC member, who drove it away today. Very sad to see it go Glad its gone to someone whos going to look after it though! Drove past Nick Whales on the way back, was almost tempted to pop in and buy another So its off house-hunting and wrong-wheel-drive car hunting I go. Bah, and all that...

Hi all, I need some bodywork (including respray) done on my S1 and was wondering if anyone can recommend a good (and reasonably priced) body shop that can be reached from Cardiff. Thanks Ray

As some may know I'm selling my Elise and I have already bought another car (X-plate Fiat Punto HGT, I need to save some money up!) which was meant to be delivered tomorrow. It has full service history, Hpi check and mot and tax. I have already put down £250 deposit with the garage and have a receipt, etc. The car doesn't have sat nav or a cd changer which during this week I've been wondering why and wondered if this was meant to come as standard. So I joined a Punto Forum on the net and asked the question 'should these be in the car I am about to buy'. Few reply's down and someone says 'If the reg of the car is X$%^ &^% then stay well away cos last time I sa…

OK, for those of you who I followed (but never overtook!) out on the runs etc over the past few years I thought I'd just post a 'hello and cheerio for the present' message as I finally had to bow to the inevitable and sell my lovely baby yesterday. How gutted am I? Unfortunately e-baying the kids proved a problem and so the car had to finally go off on a transporter as the final nail in the coffin of sensibleness, for the moment at least. Not been about much recently due to having to get life in order, work etc, but after the dust has settled and I have realised how little I actually got to drive my pride and joy this year (350 miles since Christmas), but how much …

I'm off to Oulton Park to watch the BTCC amongst other things this weekend, just wondered whether any of you guys were going? I'm going with SEATcupra.net which is the SEAT owners club that I've been a member of for a while. The cool thing? SEAT Sport UK have decided to give us free in-field parking at all BTCC events this year (and probably beyond) which basically means around 50 of us all with SEAT's of various types (mainly fast ones) parked up smack in the middle of the action for all to see! Really gets on the nerves of the other clubs To give you an idea of SEATcupra.net's involvement and at these events we've had Jason Plato and I believe Rob Huff actu…
